Craft & Origins

Every piece in this style has a supply chain, and some of those chains matter: teak forestry, rattan harvesting, silk villages, batik workshops. This collection explains where materials actually come from, which sustainability claims hold up, and what 'authentic' and 'artisan' genuinely mean when a label uses them. These guides are researched from published forestry data, trade documentation, and the documented history of each craft. When a question doesn't have a clean answer — plantation teak's real track record, for instance — we present the trade-offs instead of a slogan.
